Yucca Valley is the Basin's service centre: the place guests provision before a park day and the one with the most practical infrastructure around it. For an owner that is an advantage worth stating plainly. A guest staying here trades a little park proximity for shops, fuel and a shorter drive to almost everything that is not the park itself.
It suits owners who want an incorporated-town setting with straightforward access, and whose homes compete on comfort, parking and arrival quality rather than on remoteness.
It does not publish a cap on the number of permits, a separation or density standard, or whether an application window is open, paused or closed. We are not going to infer any of those. Contact the Town Planning Department for the current position on your address before you market or operate, and keep the answer in the property file with its date.

No. Yucca Valley is an incorporated Town, so County Code Chapter 84.28 does not apply inside its boundary. The Town regulates short-term vacation rentals under its own Ordinance 312 and issues the required permits through its Planning Department. Checked 2026-09-20.
The Town's short-term vacation rental page does not publish one, and we will not infer a number. It also does not publish a separation standard or the status of an application window. Ask the Town Planning Department directly for the current position on your address and record the date of the answer. The County's two-permit owner cap is a County provision and does not apply here.
Town Finance. The Town lists a Finance contact for business registration and transient occupancy taxes, separately from the Planning Department contact for permits and zoning. There is no California state transient occupancy tax, so this is a local registration.
